In 1953 Kansas City Athenaeum joined other GFWC clubs in Missouri in the founding of Missouri Girls Town, a residential facility caring for abused and neglected girls. We continue to contribute to its program in Kingdom City, Missouri, where girls receive professional treatment to overcome their past traumas and achieve a fulfilling future. Visit their website:
